Welcome to Complete RE

Complete RE has been constructed to give you a ‘one-stop shop’ for all your needs in RE at Key Stage 3 and beyond. It aims to put into a single CD-based product everything that a specialist would need to support their curriculum planning and delivery. It has also been produced to support the growing number of non-specialists whose work is made all the more difficult by the dearth of materials and activities proven to elicit good learning outcomes in their students.

Complete RE has been designed to be as flexible as possible. It should, therefore, suit the context in which you are working whilst giving you an abundance of high-quality activities appropriate for all your students.

The way we teach and facilitate learning depends on a number of factors, including the:

  • aptitude of the students
  • prior learning, experience and attainment of the students
  • socio-economic context in which the learning takes place
  • resources available to support learning
  • management of behaviour during learning
  • teacher’s pedagogic style
  • attention paid to students’ preferred learning styles in lesson planning, design and implementation.

In effect, Complete RE offers a range of materials and activities under a series of themes and topics. This will enable you to choose what you want to use with your students, depending on one, some or all of the factors mentioned above. The variety of material should allow you to pay proper attention to differentiation so that as many students as possible can engage with good learning in RE.
