Introduction

In terms of the guidance that they receive in school/college, Oxbridge applicants are often grouped together with those who plan to read Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science. This is because:

• all of these candidates will need to submit their applications by 15 October
• they are likely to be interviewed and so might need some preparation in this respect
• they may have to take an admissions test and so will need guidance on applying and preparing for this.

The degree of help that can be offered to these students will depend on the number involved and the experience of teachers. The programme outlined here is one example of the type of preparation that could be offered which would combine with the more general UCAS advice timetable (see Timetable).
