Introduction

Welcome to University Applications 2007-8. This resource aims to cover all aspects of the university applications process from the perspective of teachers, students and parents. The electronic format (either online or from CD-ROM) allows users to print out sections that are of particular interest. Much of the documentation is in digital file format which means it can be edited to meet the requirements of any particular institution.

We certainly hope that in producing briefing sheets and sample documentation, we will save hard-pressed teaching colleagues lots of time and effort.

We believe that, by producing a resource that covers every stage of the higher education applications process, from gap years to university interviews, student finance to writing personal statements, we have created a tool that will help teachers to manage this process, and help students to make better-informed and more successful applications to university.
