Some of the material is covered in detail in other parts of this module or in other modules; nevertheless, considering them together here helps to create a full picture and is therefore important strategically. Your resourcing decisions could, of course, affect how you use your school site. Ideas and a case study for modifying your buildings are also offered in this section.

The cost implications of various resources are then examined in more detail; this information should be used with that in the Budgets and Funding section to help you arrive at the business plan elements of your own ICT development plans.

Your particular vision may centre around a move, in stages, towards one-to-one ownership of portable computing devices (eg laptop, tablet PC or other handheld device) and the availability of wireless connectivity. The (PC only) presentation provided below could be used to describe the devices that are available and likely to become commonplace. The accompanying notes can help you to convey the educational opportunities that use of such technology could offer.
