Starting points

RAISEonline is a powerful tool, capable of delivering very detailed reports, customised to your school. This makes it potentially extremely valuable, but it also means that it can be difficult to know where to start. The best method is to begin by gaining a general overview of what the main issues in your school are likely to be. You will then be in a position to make the best use of the service’s more detailed features, without spending large amounts of time on those that are likely to be of limited interest to your school.

This section explains where to look to gain this general overview, and helps you to pick up on some initial issues that might be worth further investigation. After working through the section, you should be able to get a quick impression of your school similar to the one an Ofsted inspector might form in the few days before their visit.

This section refers to:

If you are unfamiliar with these, or are not sure where to find them, you may wish to take a few moments to read the appropriate sections in the Reference material. Alternatively, you can begin reading this section straight away and refer to the help as and when you need it.

When you are using this section, it is recommended that you log in to RAISEonline, and/or have a printed copy of your school’s full report in front of you. For information about logging in to RAISEonline, see the Introduction.
