Identification

A variety of methods can be used to identify gifted and talented students in PE. These may be quantitative, including data from the Fischer Family Trust (FFT), teacher assessments based on National Curriculum levels for specific activities/Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) units and at the end of KS2 and KS3, and they may be qualitative judgements by teachers who know the students and their work.

This section looks at the issues surrounding the identification of gifted and talented students in PE.
