This section addresses how English teachers can meet the needs of gifted and talented students through classroom practice.

The following form may be useful for focusing thinking about current/planned classroom practice in relation to gifted and talented students. It may be used as a starting point for setting targets to improve support for the qualities that gifted and talented students in English often display.

It may also be useful to discuss how students’ affective qualities are developed in classroom culture and practice.
