Organised Parent Teacher Associations have been a part of the school community for many years and can be of tremendous benefit not only to the school coffers but also to the success of the school overall.

The Parents as Partners series is designed to help the school management team and the parents. It explores the full potential of Parent Teacher Associations within the school community.

The guidance is based on years of experience working with PTAs in secondary schools and examples of good practice. It will be of value in:

• setting up an organisation within the school
• revitalising existing structures
• troubleshooting
• keeping pace with the current education environment
• a school's audit of its work with parents.

The three packs can be used as a complete resource or just dipped into for specific topics.
