KS3 ICT Homework

David Goddard and Chris Guy

Set purposeful homework

Homework is high on the Government’s list of educational priorities. In ICT, the setting of homework has, traditionally, been difficult. Resources were usually directed towards hardware and software for use in school. While it has always been possible to set homework, it has often been hard to make it meaningful and relevant to skills taught and the National Curriculum.

These packs makes it easy to set purposeful homework and to keep students interested. They come with guidance and answers, and can also be used in class.

Differentiated learning

Many of the exercises can also be used to provide class-based activities for cover work, for example. Each exercise is complete with a detailed mark scheme to help the non-specialist, and many cover areas in other National Curriculum subjects. Some exercises involve research, and most are graduated in difficulty to allow for differentiation.

Each pack provides 25-30 separate homework activities and balanced coverage of the four strands of the subject.
