Lynne Evans
Ideal for the non-specialist
This series is designed for use by the non-specialist and provides essential, practical support for any teacher. The material can be used with any type of computer and references to software are non-specific. Each of the plans is clearly referenced and set in the context of another subject so that work can contribute to two programmes of study at once. The publication is versatile and takes into account that there is great variation from school to school in terms of the:
- training provided for staff
- experience and ability of pupils
- group sizes
- funding and provision of equipment
- degree of adult support in the class.
Each lesson is carefully structured and provides: clear learning objectives linked to the programmes of study; simple procedures; and an extension activity. The material can be used as the basis for a course, as groups of linked pieces of work or as a bank of self-contained activities. Set two to an A4 page, the plans can be copied, cut up and kept as a convenient store of ideas. Additional pupil sheets are provided as appendices.
