Increasing importance is being attached to pupils' entitlement to homework. Homework has the potential to increase breadth of learning as well as reinforce concepts covered in class.

Planning appropriate and stimulating homework as well as lessons can prove challenging and time-consuming. These packs provide the Geography department with a flexible resource with a range of topics covering both Physical and Human Geography.

The Homeworks cover all abilities between 11 and 16, and allow for differentiation within groups. Use them to:

• stretch the higher ability pupils by introducing new aspects of topics, or applying knowledge to new situations
• reinforce key points in a user-friendly style for the less able pupils.

The homeworks are presented in a variety of formats, including research, quizzes, investigations and decision-making exercises. They also provide opportunities for fieldwork, and the use of information and communication technology.
