About the author

Richard Hickman is Director of Studies for Art History and course leader for the Art and Design component of the University of Cambridge PGCE. He has spent 13 years as a teacher of Art and Design and has also been a lecturer in Art and Design since 1985. He has worked as a Senior Examiner for GCSE and A-level and as an OFSTED inspector for Art and Design. He is currently an accredited Additional Inspector for Initial Teacher Education in Art and Design.
