The Learning Journey is an exciting resource based on ideas developed at Burnt Mill Secondary School in Harlow, which has been praised by Ofsted for its innovative and creative approach to curriculum development.

Using the guidance and sample documentation provided in The Learning Journey, your students will benefit from:

• mentoring by pastoral leaders
• a flexible curriculum built around a skills-based core (see Platform)
• a ‘stage not age’ philosophy – if a student is ‘ready’, they can accelerate their journey rather than be kept back artificially
