Essential support for KS3
It is often hard to find good starters and plenaries that comply with the DCSF’ recommended Framework for teaching modern foreign languages: Years 7, 8 and 9. Starters and Plenaries for MFL supports the Framework by adhering to:
- The principle – Structure the learning
- The action – Use starters and plenaries and adopt a clear lesson structure.
Valuable for any scheme of work
An extensive bank of teaching material, it can easily be adapted for use in your department, saving valuable time and energy. With over 100 starter activities, including French, German and Spanish, each leading into an appropriate plenary session, the CD-ROM offers real choice and support.
A wealth of material
In addition, Starters and Plenaries for MFL is indexed by starter activity, by language (ie French, German or Spanish) and by topic (eg Food, Family, etc). A printable version of all the onscreen content is provided on the disc.
Something for everyone
Since each idea has follow-up sessions, there is no limit, other than the teacher's imagination, to how this material can be exploited. Designed for the 11 to 14 age range, Starters and Plenaries for MFL has been written by a working classroom teacher and subject leader and will be of real value to whole departments.
Convenient CD-ROM format
Delivered through a standard Web browser and able to run on a network, this exciting new publication is simple to use. A range of supplementary digital files, such as Microsoft® Word and PowerPoint files, is included – ideal for use with an interactive whiteboard.
