Organising School Trips
Steve Clarke
A whole school resource
DCSF guidance on educational visits means schools are expected to have an Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) to plan school trips and train trip leaders. The employer (whether the governing body or the LEA) must ensure that trip leaders are suitably prepared. There is now a great administrative burden to follow the recommendations and provide training as required.
Full support
This important publication provides headteachers and coordinators with information and guidance, backed up with forms, handouts and checklists to support key personnel and to reduce the bureaucracy and time involved in organising a school trip.
Organising School Trips has been written to provide material for headteachers, SMTs and EVCs – as such, it is a valuable whole school resource.
