Ofsted and the use of ICT
Schools now face far more exacting inspections of their use of ICT. The Inspection Framework explicitly requires inspectors to consider aspects of ICT use throughout the school in terms of both management and teaching. In subject teaching, the requirements are clear; teachers need to show evidence that they are applying ICT across the curriculum.
Detailed departmental support
This pack forms an ideal starting point for any Modern Foreign Languages department. From the basics of policy development and the creation of appropriate documentation, it moves on to consider implementation strategies which involve the wide range of ICT tools available.
Importantly, real guidance and support is provided on key issues for the teacher and the pack includes a selection of handy forms and checklists as well as information sheets.
