Ofsted and the use of ICT
Schools now face far more exacting inspections of their used of ICT. The Inspection Framework explicitly requires inspectors to consider aspects of ICT use throughout the school in terms of both management and teaching. In subject teaching, the requirements are clear; teachers need to show evidence that they are applying ICT across the curriculum.

Linda Elliott is Head of Science at a Roman Catholic fully Comprehensive Co-educational School and, before that, was Head of Physics at a Girls School.
