Giant Body Kit 1
Linda Swain
Engaging materials
A creative and innovative publication which allows classes, groups or individuals to assemble, complete and work with life-size outlines. The kit includes giant outline posters to be pieced together by the pupil and additional material to be added to the assembled outline.
Designed for use with younger Key Stage 3 pupils, this kit provides two prepubescent body outlines, one with a skeleton; and a set of relevant organs and organ systems to be added. It can, for example, be used to teach about:
- characteristics of living things
- breathing and exercise
- main external parts of the body
- bones, muscles and movement
- food and digestion
- the human life cycle
- blood, the heart and circulation
- health and ill health.
