Using Teachers TV

Teachers TV provides a range of professional development films for staff, including films about issues relating to advertising and Media Studies. A selection which may be of interest are linked to in the Resources section.

To play a video, click the play button that sits in the centre of the programme image. You may have to wait a few seconds for the video to download (buffer) before it begins to play. Once a video begins to play, place your mouse pointer over the programme image to access the playback controls. Use these controls to skip back and forth to various points within the video, control the volume, play/pause, or expand the video to full screen/minimise the video.

You will need to have version 8 or later of the Flash Player plug-in installed to make full use of the video player options. You can download this from the Adobe Web site. If you do not have Flash Player installed, you will automatically see the videos in Windows Media Player format. Some videos may be viewed in QuickTime.

You will also need a sound card and headphones or speakers to listen to the videos.

For further guidance on playing or downloading videos, see the help page on the Teachers TV site.
